Serious fire in Llanrwst
PostedA 19 year old man has died and a 39 year old man is in a serious condition in hospital following a fire in Llanrwst in the early hours of this morning (Friday 10th October).
Emergency services were called to the first floor flat on Ancaster Square, Llanrwst at 06.03hrs, including five fire appliances from Llanrwst, Conwy, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, together with an aerial ladder platform from Rhyl.
A third man, aged 48, escaped unhurt from the incident.
Attendance of emergency service vehicles at the incident caused closure of the nearby A470 which is remain closed for some time.
A joint investigation by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police is now underway to try to establish the cause of the fire.
