Deliberate fire in PrestatynPosted
Crews attended a fire involving a disused property on Warren Drive, Prestatyn at 2.27pm today (Saturday 3rd February).
Appliances from Holywell, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Abergele, the aerial ladder platform and the incident command unit from Rhyl attended the incident which was brought under control by 4.28pm.
The fire is thought to have been started deliberately.
Kevin Jones, Community Safety Manager for Conwy and Denbighshire, said: “This type of irresponsible behaviour is completely unacceptable, and it was very fortunate that no one was hurt.
“Deliberate fires are a serious form of anti-social behaviour with potentially lethal consequences and we are working closely with the Police to identify those responsible.
“We would encourage anyone with information on arson to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
