Fire crews have been tackling a significant fire on Mynydd Bodafon, Anglesey, since approximately 20:39, August 22. At the height of the incident, six fire appliances and four wildfire vehicles were in attendance.

Our crews have withdrawn from the scene, but officers will return to the area this evening, August 26 to monitor conditions.

We would like to reassure residents that, although smoke and occasional small flare-ups may still be visible, it is unlikely that the fire will spread further. However, if any resident believes their property is at risk overnight, they should call 999 immediately.

We are also advising nearby residents to keep windows and doors closed due to lingering smoke in the area.
