We're currently responding to a number of incidents across the region.
As a result, our Control Room is experiencing a high volume of emergency calls. Firefighters and specialist wildfire resources are deployed across the affected areas, with resources being allocated according to operational need and risk.
We would like to thank members of the public for their support and co-operation and ask people to avoid affected areas where possible. Please only call 999 if there is an emergency.
Further updates will be shared through our official channels as information becomes available.
Update 17:00
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has now stood down the major incident declared on Sunday, as resources are able to effectively manage the current level of wildfire activity across the region.
The situation at Conwy Mountain, near Capelulo, has improved significantly. Firefighters remain in attendance to monitor conditions and assess any ongoing risks.
It is now safe for the residents from the thirty six properties that were evacuated to return to their homes. The local road closures have now been lifted and the rest centre will remain open overnight until 22:00 if residents need further support. We would like to thank all affected residents for their patience, understanding and co-operation during this period.
We are aware that some residents may be experiencing power supply issues. Scottish Power Energy Networks is working to restore supplies as quickly as possible and is deploying generators where required to help minimise disruption.
Please be aware that the fire is expected to continue smouldering and may produce smoke for several days. Members of the public are asked to contact North Wales Fire and Rescue Service only if they see visible flames or if smoke becomes excessive or overwhelming in their area.
Residents affected by smoke are advised to keep windows and doors closed until conditions improve and the smoke has dispersed. Once the smoke has cleared it is a good idea to open windows and doors to air your home.
Fire crews will remain in the area around Conwy Mountain, near Capelulo, to continue monitoring conditions and assessing the situation.
Elsewhere, firefighters remain in attendance at incidents including Braichmelyn Forestry, Bethesda, and the Rhinogydd mountain range near Harlech, where crews continue to monitor conditions and assess ongoing risks.
Our thanks go to fellow emergency responders and partner organisations whose ongoing support has been vital throughout this incident.
A further update will be provided tomorrow morning.
