Deliberate Fire Prevention
Deliberate Fire Prevention
Our aim is to reduce deliberate fire‑setting so that people, communities, businesses, the environment and local heritage are kept safe.
Preventing deliberate fires
We work closely with partners to build stronger, safer and more resilient communities by:
- Providing information, guidance and fire safety advice
- Delivering education to children and young people
- Intervening early when anti‑social behaviour begins
- Supporting diversionary activities to deter potential offenders
- Offering targeted prevention programmes for those at risk of fire‑setting behaviour
Responding to deliberate fires
Incidents of deliberate fire‑setting are reviewed daily using information from both North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police command systems. This ensures the right response is delivered at the right time.
We work with partner agencies to support identification and detection efforts, helping to secure appropriate justice outcomes or intervention pathways.
